On Wednesday afternoon, Year 2 visited Urban Devotion Birmingham at St. Martin’s Church in Erdington. The class completed a variety of different activities linked to Jesus’ resurrection whilst explaining their knowledge on why Easter is important to Christians around the world. We had the pleasure of Sofia Georgiou an author who has published her own book called Emmas Europeon Adventure . The children got to ask her lots of questions and find out all about her writing and life style .
We all wore our PJS or dressing up clothes .
On Wednesday 6th March, we held a Parental Engagement in the school hall. We worked alongside our parents and carers to make healthy wraps. We really enjoyed working alongside our peers! We also discussed how we should try and live healthier lives by sleeping well, exercising daily and having good hygiene.st here.
For History , We visited Aston Hall as an educational visit to bring our learning to life from the lessons in the classroom! Here are some pictures of our amazing day .
Today we showed the children 3 different materials: sticks, straw and bricks . We asked the children if they knew why we had them and what they could have to do with our writing this half of term . Some of the children remembered a story called" The 3 Little Pigs". We then explained to the children that we would be retelling the story of 3 little pigs in our writing .
