World War II Workshop

Year 6 had an amazing, educational World War II Workshop at Cannock Chase Museum.

In line with our History Curriculum, Year 6 had the opportunity to take part in numerous activities. These activities allowed children to understand what life was like for an evacuee and as a British citizen during WW2. Year 6 looked at artefacts from WW2 and re- enacted an air raid drill. The class also became evacuees, understanding the importance of rationing and the impact this had on morale whilst taking part in role playing different scenarios from this era. The class furthered their knowledge around WW2, exploring ways that the war touched on every aspect of life-from the food people ate to the clothes that they wore to the precautions they took against invasion.
